Math
With the growing number of jobs that require 21st century skills and experience in a scientific, technological, engineering, or mathematics field, we feel that it’s extremely important to make our young students aware of the opportunities that are available to them.
Engineering for kids sets itself apart by encouraging children to engage with a diverse curriculum and by integrating the Engineering Design process into every lesson.
About EFK
EFK is a not-for-profit association based in Jerusalem that promotes STEM education to create awareness, excitement, and opportunities among children and young women through innovative hands-on learning to pursue successful STEM-related careers.
Find out more about our association mission and how we seek to inspire the next generation of scientists, engineers, and technology experts.
OUR PROGRAMS
What We Do
EFK Association runs programs that presents kids aged 4-14 with challenging yet accessible STEM Engineering activities from which they can learn and grow. Programs and activities such as hands-on educational activities, afterschool programs, evening classes, camps, virtual programs, mentoring, scholarships and support for community programs.
ENGINEERING DESIGN
Engineering Design Challenges are a great way to show real-life applications of concepts and bring about a much deeper level of understanding.
All the engineering design challenges are aligned to Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) engineering practices.
CODING
Coding is also a great way to engage students as it is relatively less expensive than robotics, gives many of the same skills, and it mines the interest inside a student’s brain.
Coding challenges include Scratch from MIT, AppLab from code.org, and Alice 3 by Oracle. As revered of a job skill coding is, these trainings will help your students gain the skills they need to succeed.
ROBOTICS
Robotics is a great way to engage students in all subjects because it gives students the necessary skills to succeed and enforces learning in a real and concrete manner.
Activities in LEGO EV3, LEGO WeDo 2.0, SPRK from Orbotics, and Dash-n-Dot by Wonder Workshop. These robots help students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Inspiring The Next Generation of Engineers
Today’s children demand rich and immersive learning experiences that parallel their fast paced digital lives.
Youth need a variety of opportunities to begin building STEM skills that match their potential and improve their awareness through building projects. With each program, students use the science testing process and the engineering design process to solve problems.
The future Palestinian economy will rely on essential skills in STEM to grow and innovate. Digital literacy and computer science will be the driving factors that shape our next generation of future leaders and innovators. Other essential skills like critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration and entrepreneurship will also be foundational for all youth.
WE NEED YOU BY OUR SIDE
Our programs and impact can only happen with the support of our corporate partnerships, other non-profit organizations, community members, and individual donors. We are always looking to grow our network and expand our reach of students. Find out how you can become a sponsor.

GIRLS DAY
Girl Day is a worldwide campaign to introduce girls to the fascinating world of engineering. Thousands of people- engineers, teachers and others- act as Role Models and educate girls about how engineers change our world. This simple act has turned many girls on to engineering & technology careers.
Event Info
Started in 2001 as a joint effort between NSPE, IBM, and National Engineers Week Foundation, “Girl Day” 2017 marks the 16th year of a special focus whereby women engineers, and their male colleagues, have the opportunity to introduce more than one million girls and young women to engineering
